Meet Your Host: Let’s Travel Bhutan
A Bhutanese welcome, with an Australian perspective.

I grew up in Bhutan, in a land of fluttering prayer flags, mountain monasteries, and people who treat every guest like family. Hospitality is not simply a job here; it is part of how we live.
Five years of hands-on tourism experience
I spent five years in tourism, working in and running a tourist hotel. Welcoming travellers from around the world taught me that the most memorable parts of a journey are often the small moments: butter tea with a local family, a quiet temple visit, or a guide sharing a story that never makes it into a guidebook.
Communications, and Australia
I later came to Australia to complete a Master’s in Professional Communications, where I studied how stories help people connect across cultures. Today I live in regional Australia and work in a country pub. Conversations with Australians about their travel dreams have taught me the value of honest advice, good humour, comfortable stays, and real experiences over tourist traps.
Why I started Let’s Travel Bhutan
Planning a trip can involve visa requirements, the Sustainable Development Fee, transport logistics, and mountain roads that benefit from local knowledge. I want to make the process clearer, with one friendly contact who understands Bhutan from the inside and knows what Australian travellers often value.
The Bhutan I want you to experience
I want visitors to experience Bhutan beyond a checklist of famous sights: to meet people respectfully, understand traditions, enjoy landscapes at the right pace, and return home with stories that stay with them.
