Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1 Arrive in Paro with a private welcome

Begin the day with a private airport welcome and comfortable transfer, with the schedule paced around the arrival time and the guest’s preferred level of activity. The experience introduces personalized service and a gentle introduction to Bhutan, giving travellers context rather than simply moving between attractions. After a relaxed lunch, continue with a curated first experience such as a valley viewpoint, a short heritage walk, or time at the hotel, depending on energy and access. Later, enjoy a host-led briefing over dinner about the journey, preferences, dietary requirements, and any special interests, so the following days can be refined around the guests rather than a rigid checklist.

  2. Day 2 Paro heritage and a private cultural experience

Begin the day with a guided visit to Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum if open, with a private guide providing historical and artistic context. The experience introduces the valley’s architecture, sacred places, and craft traditions, giving travellers context rather than simply moving between attractions. After a relaxed lunch, continue with a pre-arranged cultural experience such as a craft demonstration or farmhouse visit, subject to host availability, allowing time for questions and genuine interaction. Later, enjoy a relaxed evening at the hotel or in town, with restaurant choices and pacing tailored to the guests. Premium accommodation and specific amenities must be confirmed against live availability before booking.

  3. Day 3 Thimphu at a considered pace

Begin the day with a comfortable private transfer to Thimphu, with an optional stop at Tachog Lhakhang or a scenic viewpoint along the way. The experience introduces the capital’s heritage, art, and contemporary life, giving travellers context rather than simply moving between attractions. After a relaxed lunch, visit selected landmarks such as Buddha Dordenma, a traditional arts institution, or Tashichho Dzong during permitted hours, choosing a smaller number of experiences for depth rather than rushing. Later, enjoy a private dining arrangement or a guided walk through a craft and design area, depending on guest interests and availability. Your host can help select locally made items and explain their origins.

  4. Day 4 Journey to Phobjikha and Gangtey

Begin the day with a scenic drive across Dochula Pass with time for photography and refreshments, then continue through forested hills toward Phobjikha. The experience introduces quiet landscapes, village heritage, and a slower rhythm, giving travellers context rather than simply moving between attractions. After a relaxed lunch, visit Gangtey Goemba and take a gentle nature walk suited to the guests’ fitness, enjoying broad valley views and learning about local traditions and conservation. Later, settle into a carefully selected lodge or guesthouse, subject to availability, and enjoy a relaxed evening. During winter, crane-watching may be possible, but sightings depend on season and conditions.

  5. Day 5 Phobjikha to Punakha

Begin the day with a quiet morning walk or a visit to the crane information centre when open, followed by a comfortable transfer toward Punakha. The experience introduces rural landscapes and the architecture of a historic valley, giving travellers context rather than simply moving between attractions. After a relaxed lunch, visit Punakha Dzong and, if desired, take a guided walk to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. The itinerary can be adjusted to avoid steep walks or to allow extra photography time. Later, enjoy a riverside meal or a private dining experience if arranged in advance, with the evening left open for rest and the comfort of the chosen accommodation.

  6. Day 6 Punakha to Paro

Enjoy breakfast in Punakha and, if not completed the previous day, make one short morning visit to Punakha Dzong or the riverside area. Then drive to Paro via Dochula Pass. Plan approximately four hours of driving before allowing for photographs, refreshments, lunch, traffic, and road conditions. Do not add a Tiger’s Nest hike or a full sightseeing schedule to this transfer day. After arriving in Paro, check in and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Guests may take a short stroll through town if they feel comfortable, but the main priority is a relaxed arrival and overnight stay near the airport. The next day is reserved for departure, ensuring the premium experience feels considered rather than rushed.

  7. Day 7 Departure

Begin the day with a relaxed breakfast and assistance with luggage and transfer arrangements. The experience introduces a seamless finish to a private Bhutan journey, giving travellers context rather than simply moving between attractions. After a relaxed lunch, if flight timing allows, enjoy a final short walk or a quiet coffee overlooking the valley, without adding unnecessary travel pressure. Later, enjoy private transfer to Paro International Airport. The final itinerary should confirm hotel names, room categories, guide service, vehicle type, meals, and all inclusions so the luxury promise is specific and deliverable.
